We are passionate about the power of prayer. Prayer underpins everything that happens at Church in the Marketplace, and there are opportunities for us to come together to pray in small groups. Some of us struggle with the discipline and practice of prayer and find being with others helpful. Whether we are praying with others, or on our own, prayer helps us to be immersed in the world as God sees it.
PRAYER REQUESTS
If you would like prayer, please submit your prayer request below. All prayer requests are confidential and are prayed for throughout the week by Elders in the church. Prayer request cards are also available on the Welcome desk in the foyer of the church or from the front desk.
Below are some of the opportunities for you to join with others in prayer:
Sunday prayer
Meet us at 9.15am in the Cole room 2 to pray for: the ministry and mission of Church in the Marketplace; the service; for personal requests; for the needs of the community and the world around us.
After church prayer
After the 10am worship service at Church in the Marketplace there is always a person available to pray with anyone who is seeking prayer, either for themselves or others.
Tuesday morning prayer
When: Tuesdays 9.00am – 10.00am
Where: Church in the Marketplace
Prayer for the Jewish People
This group prays for the local and international Jewish community, for Israel, for believers in Israel and for Aliyah – the return of Jewish people to the land of Israel.
When: The last Tuesday of each month (except December and January) 6.00 – 7.00pm
Where: Church in the Marketplace
Prayer for the Nations
This group prays for different countries each month. Background information and prayer points are provided.
When: The last Tuesday of each month (except December and January), 7.00 – 8.00pm
