This Sunday we continue the journey through Jesus’ vineyard parables that Peter has been leading us through over recent weeks from God’s extravagant grace, to faith that becomes visible in the way we live, and now to an even more personal question:
What does it actually mean to call Jesus “Lord”?
It is easy to say “Yes, Lord” when Jesus and I agree. But what happens when his direction and mine are different? Who gets the final say?
Drawing on Isaiah 5:1–7 and Matthew 21:33–46, we’ll return to the vineyard and discover what happens when the Owner sends his Son.
And, given what happened last Sunday night, there may even be a little Bondi Junction Grand Final theology involved…
